CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENTS
Chiropractic adjustment is a skillful delivery of a controlled force to a joint that is not moving properly. Patients will notice increase in range of motion, improvement in strength, and decrease in pain.
The "pop" sound you hear in an adjustment is the release of gas (air pockets) from the joint capsule. Some adjustments have a "pop" and some do not.
SERVICES
ELECTRICAL STIMULATION THERAPY
At Park Chiropractic, electrical stimulation therapy is offered to reduce pain, swelling and recovery time. The electrical muscle stimulation creates contractions in the muscles to help relieve pain and muscle spasms from injuries. It works well for both acute and chronic pain.
MANUAL THERAPY/CUPPING
At Park Chiropractic, we incorporate manual therapy via myofascial release, trigger point therapy and cupping to help reduce congestion and improve associated pain levels.
IASTM
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization Technique uses stainless steel tools to help increase blood flow and range of motion. This treatment will assist patients that have had past injury causing scar tissue formation that restricts motion. IASTM focuses on the fascia, a type of connective tissue that surrounds the muscles.
CORRECTIVE/THERAPEUTIC EXERCISES
At Park Chiropractic, personalized corrective exercises will be provided to each patient as part of their treatment plan. Corrective Exercises will focus on strengthening areas that may have been compensated due to the chronic adaptations. By implementing these exercises into your daily lifestyle, it can help maintain your health and results from treatment. These exercises aim to improve, restore, and prevent loss of physical function and improve a patient's overall health and well being.
SPINAL DECOMPRESSION
At Park Chiropractic, we offer spinal decompression for patients with neck and back pain due to herniated or bulging discs. Spinal decompression allows us to relieve pain from disc injuries without surgery. It allows for a gentle stretch in your spine and relaxes the spine, which, over time, separates the vertebrae. This creates a vacuum-like effect that pulls the soft bulging disc material back into the disc. Implementing spinal decompression can relieve the pressure put on your nerves.
KINESIOTAPING
Kinesiotaping uses specially formulated tape designed to facilitate the body's natural healing process while providing support to muscles and joints without restricting the range of motion. The tape can be used to decrease pain and swelling and increase range of motion while also correcting the biomechanics and neurologic feedback.
